when do I book my newborn session?

how old should my baby be for their newborn session?

I only accept a certain number of newborns each month to allow enough time and attention to their session. Please book your session as soon as possible! Most clients book their session within the first few months of their pregnancy. 

I shoot posed newborn sessions when baby is 5-21 days old. This is due to their alertness and development. This timeframe is best for a sleepy baby that I can pose and create beautiful images for you to cherish forever.

what do i bring to my newborn session?

My studio is fully stocked stocked with bonnets, headbands, sleepy hats, floral crowns, wraps, textured layers, bowls. wood beds and specific rompers/outfits. Unless you have a sentimental blanket or small object, just baby and a diaper bag is all you need! 

All the props and items stocked in the studio are from specific newborn vendors that are custom made to fit a newborn perfectly. Most items you buy in a store do not fit. 

how do I book my session?

A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required to book your session. Your remaining balance is due the day of your session. 

what is your studio like?

I have an in-home studio located in Salado, TX. It's not large so there's not a lot of room for a bunch of people. I keep it about 80 degrees so it's comfortable for baby. I have a couple chairs to sit while the session is taking place.

I would like siblings/newborn photos, how does that work?

Prior to our session, I will chat with you about arrangements we can make to help with the siblings. Typically I photograph sibling/family photos first. Once those are complete, I ask that another parent or friend pick them up and take them back home or go somewhere fun.  This helps to keep the studio quiet and free of distractions while I photograph the baby.
